Neat and Crafty: 7 Gypsies

this week over at mysweetearth for SKW dt i created a journal page using some of susans digital stamps and using lots of mists and paints

I started with covering my page with gesso and then while the gesso was still wet adding a few torn strips of dictionary paper then applying another layer of gesso over the top

Then I added the stamped images and coloured with mists and dripped colours down the page after the drips dryed I added molding paste to a heart stencil on one side of my page then I added a hole on each side of the birds beak and poked the wire from the end of the flower I used on the bird cage through the hole to make it look like the bird was flying away with a twig I also added a bit of gold cotton under the the little twine bow..

so here is what i have come up with using

here is the front of the mobile

Step 1

i used a old scrached cd traced and cut out 2 circles for the front and back of the cd

Step 2

then got some pink ribbon and ruffled it as i glued the ribbon on the edge of the cd

Step 3

then cut a lenth of white ribbon so you can hang your mobile and loop it and glue it to the top of your cd

then cut a second lenth of ribbon for your heart to hang from the bottom of the cd

Step 4

using a die cut 2 hearts mirrored out of cardboard/chipboard {ive used a sizzix die - Hearts,tipsy)

then cut another 2 mirrored Hearts out using patterned papers then glue the patterned paper on top of your cardboard/chipboard Hearts so you have 2 mirrored hearts with patterned paper on them..

Step 5

then take 1 of the hearts and on the back side {not the patterned paper side}glue more ruffled ribbon

then with the other heart shape {not the patterned paper side} glue the lenth of ribbon hanging from the bottom of the Cd ..then glue both of them together so they look the same on both sides..

Step 6

glue down your 2 circles cut from patterned paper the front and back of the cd then add all the embellies you want to decorate your mobile

hi guys

i totally have not been enjoying my week our waterpump to our house stoped working and yep we had to bucket water for baths and washing up so it was a bit full on so now i have a huge pile of washing todo lol!!! but we did have some happy moments yeasterday as it was my daughter eve's birthday the big 7 she got a new bike and a zhu zhu pet and some new clothes she done well...
