world traveler layout

Hi There, sharing a mixed media layout for Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team using the horizon collection I decided on this photo of a butterfly I seen in my garden. I started by cutting out the poppies cut file in white cardstock with my silhouette cameo 3 and then backing it with glassine paper to give it a soft look

Then I divided it into 2 bits for the design I had in mind.. I then added some sky blue paint to the middle of my white cardstock brushing it in strokes and as i wanted to add some more colour over the top of blue I decided on yellow and 2 shades of pink and flicked diagonal across the page , once it was dry I matted my photo on paper 23, paper 1 and paper 8 and added a doily in the layers

Then using horizon paper 2 I cut out lace border cut file using my silhouette cameo 3 then I adhered it to the bottom of my photo. Then I adhered my photo and backed poppies to my painted background in the center With double sided foam tape to add dimension to the cut files and photo.

Next using the horizon stickers I started to add them in the centers of the poppies and one to my photo And to finish off the layout with a few mini tassels attached with mini brads..

I hope I’ve given you some fun inspiration today!
Happy crafting..xx
