Prima August Colour Challenge

Hi there,
Today I’m sharing a layout created for the colour challenge over at prima
I absolutely love scraping photos of flowers they are so pretty...and spring has started and we been having a drought in Australia so it’s been so dry but since spring has started we have had rain and our garden is blooming again with flowers and the bees are doing their favourite thing!!

I started by adding some mediums to the background with a stencil using the modeling paste and impasto paint
Next I trimmed my cardstock down on 2 sides and added a background patterned paper behind to give it that pop of colour around the border.

I then cut a few strips of the same patterned paper and tore on edge and added crepe paper behind ruffling it and adding a punched border at the top.

Then it was time to matt my photo on patterned paper from the 4x6 journaling cards and create a tag to pop at the top of the photo and add the diecuts and flowers behind and around my photo
Clustering them on the right hand side of my photo along with chipboard from the flower pack

Using some paper clay photo corner I added it in the top left hand corner of the photo and to finish it off a fussy cut butterfly with a bit of glitter glue added and a flick of heavy white gesso.

Here are the products I’ve used
