mini book..

a few weeks ago we took the kids to the pool mind you i got burnt and i was in the shade far away from the pool anyway kara had a friend come with us and i took lots of photos of them together swimming and having lots of fun so i thought i would make a mini book of their day at the pool
 


so here is how made it
i cut i bit of white cardstock in half
 folded it in half
 
 opened it back up
 cut 2 6 inch strips 1 inch wide and the center strip to decorate the spine of the book
3 x 6 inch
 attached the strips by sewing them on my sewing machine
 91/2 inch x 51/2 inch i cut the pages for the center of the book and added scraps i had left over and turned them into tags

 then i lined them all in the center and ran a machine stitch down the center
 flipped the book over
 glued down the patterned papers for my spine of the book
 folded it closed and decorated the front of the book

 added a button with a mini twine bow
 put a brad on the edge in the center of the back cover and added twine
 now its ready to embellish and add photos

    A friend of mine is leaving town and her daughter is super anxious... She is 5 so I'm going to do her up one of these for her friends to write their name and draw a pic !!
